HOW DOES BUYACAR SUPPLY IT'S NEW CARS?

WHO WE DEAL WITH

Our supplying dealers are sometimes independent dealers, but mostly are part of small or much larger groups of dealers that sell more than one manufacturer of car. Dealers benefit from being part of larger groups in terms of economies of scale and experience that can be gained across a broader range of cars.

Buyacar works with a number of dealers who are chosen because their company profile matches that of buyacar. As a web-based company we look for dealerships that are confident in dealing with internet-based enquiries and have a pro-active approach to customer service. Having the right 'fit' with a dealer is critical to our success.

HOW WE WORK WITH OUR DEALERS

We meet with every new dealer before they become part of the buyacar virtual dealer network to ensure that we have they have high standards of service and a focus on happy, satisfied customers.

Each new dealer is trained in how the buyacar website works and how to use the software that buyacar uses to deal with every customer enquiry. Each dealer then participates in a one month trial before they become a full partner.

MAKING SURE IT'S ALL RUNNING SMOOTHLY

All our dealers operate within a system of constant feedback. We stay in touch with customers that are referred through to dealers directly to ensure that they are receiving the level of service they expect and we ask customers to complete a questionnaire after their car is delivered to ensure standards are maintained.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. Do all your new cars come with a warranty?

All new cars purchased are supplied with the full manufacturer's warranty and road side assistance as specified by the manufacturer. All warranty claims and work can be carried out by any dealership throughout the UK. All the cars we sell are UK dealer supplied and therefore come with a standard 3 years warranty, but some standard warranties are longer - it depends on the manufacturer, either way, we offer the standard term for each manufacturer.

Q. Are all your new cars the current model range?

Yes. However, when a new range is released there is sometimes an overlap where both the new and the old models are still able to be purchased.

In this circumstance, the year of the model is added to the title to distinguish it from the old model. If there are no distinguishing year's in the title of your new vehicle then it will be the current model. If you have any doubts then double-check with your sales advisor.

Q. Are all your new cars UK dealer supplied?

Yes. All our cars are supplied within the UK

Q. What are your standard delivery times?

The delivery times for a new car will vary depending on which manufacturer and model you choose. The average delivery time is between 8-10 weeks.

Buyacar is a supply service so we place your order with a UK dealer. As a result, our lead times will be the same as those of a local dealer.

Though please bear in mind, wherever you decide to buy a new car from, delivery times can be affected by a number of factors like:

  • How many optional extras you choose (how complicated your build is)
  • The demand for your particular model
  • Manufacturing pressures (sometimes there are delays in the factory)
  • The time of the year.

Q. Will my local dealership service and maintain my car after delivery?

Yes, absolutely. Purchasing a new car through buyacar is no different for example to purchasing a car from a local dealership in Birmingham then relocating to Manchester and using the local dealership there. All dealerships and manufacturer approved service centers will welcome your custom, both service and warranty work provides extra revenue for them.

Q. What if I'm unhappy with the vehicle after delivery?

If for whatever reason you are not satisfied with the car when it arrives, we offer a 7 day money back guarantee. You may return the car and receive a refund at any time for 7 days after delivery. Please see our terms and conditions clause 5.5 & 5.6 for more information.

Q. What is the best way to get in contact with my sales advisor?

If you haven't already received an email from your sales agent it may be that your email account has automatically sent our email to your junk email. Please check your junk email folder to see if you have received an email from us. If you have this email then you can reply to your sales agent directly or for all the details of how to get in touch with buyacar by phone, email, fax or our address, visit the contact us page

Q. The specification or options shown on your website for the car don't appear to be correct?

In 99% of cases we have the very latest data on models and more than likely the new specification has slightly changed since your brochure was printed.

The information shown about each car on buaycar is licensed by us from a company called CAP Motor Research. CAP is the leading motoring information provider for the UK market. However, there is always a possibility that errors might exist, if you believe you have found one then please inform us so we can help to improve our website and keep it accurate. All our cars are supplied to the UK manufacturer specification.

Q. Can I cancel my order, and get a refund of the deposit?

The terms governing cancellation are described in the terms and conditions under clause 4 and 5. If you require any further information then please contact your sales agent.

Q. Why are your cars so cheap?

There are several factors which contribute to this. buyacar.co.uk is an office based car sales business, therefore our operating costs are substantially less than a main dealer.

We also do not represent any one vehicle manufacturer like car dealer showrooms do and we are not required to follow the pricing structure set out by the manufacturer. Due to the volume of vehicles that we sell we have been able to negotiate excellent discounts with our suppliers and manufacturers.

Q. Is your web site secure?

Yes! We take Internet security very seriously. The 'Trustwave' logo is a seal of approval from an independent company who specialise in ensuring web sites are configured correctly and safe from hackers.

Our second commitment to Internet shopping is the use of the Godaddy digital certificate. Whenever you enter personal data into a web page, such as during registration, and checkout process, you will see the http:// web site prefix in your browser change to https:// and a little padlock appear in the bottom right hand corner, you can be assured that any data that passes between your web browser and this site is encrypted with a Godaddy digital certificate. The padlock should be in a locked position when any data is sent from your browser to our payment partner servers 'SagePay'.

Our deployed systems are more secure than giving your credit card to a High Street shop or restaurant. Please remember that you give your payment card details direct to a bank and we never see your credit card details.

What payment methods do you accept?

We securely accept debit and credit card transactions online including Switch, Solo, Delta, Electron, MasterCard and Visa. We will happily take credit and debit card payments over the telephone should you require. Whilst there is no minimum amount that we can accept, we cannot accept a payment over £1000 over the phone. You will also be required to pass CVV2/CVC2 verification and larger payments will also require you to pass 3D secure by MasterCard or Verified by visa. When making large payments such as when paying the balance on your new car purchase we usually require settlement by bank transfer or, if you are collecting from us, you may use our card terminal in our office with chip and pin technology.
