If you are on the look-out for a new car or simply want to lust over the best that the motoring world has to offer, attending a motor show or festival is a great way to indulge yourself (without a salesman dogging your every move).
We've put together a calendar of events here, events which explore the full spectrum of motoring and days out you and the family will enjoy. Put the dates into your diary now...
It's not subtle but that's the point. This event features over 1,000 Japanese motors to gawp at as well as the chance to witness some of the finest drivers and dazzling displays of drift, all at the Rockingham Raceway in Northamptonshire.
And you can get involved too by booking yourself a track session with your own Japanese car to see how you measure up against the pro competition.
Performance cars from across the globe are featured at TRAX. With over 200 car clubs in attendance you'll be able to poke around some 4,500 vehicles from every marque you can imagine. This is also a chance to talk to real world owners about the ins and outs of living with a particular model.
You can also be amongst the first members of the public to take your own car out on to the brand new Silverstone circuit.
This festival, based at the world famous Goodwood, offers the chance to see classic racers from the 40s, 50s and 60s tearing their way round the Goodwood Motor Circuit.
With racing luminaries such as Stirling Moss and Richard Attwood in attendance the revival offers the perfect opportunity to see legends (both of the four-wheeled and two-legged varieties) in their natural environment, in this fantastic celebration of motoring heritage.
Also check out Goodwood's free event, The Breakfast Club, held on the first Sunday of each month between March and December. Here motoring enthusiasts bring their pride and joy for everyone to see and talk about. It's a great way to inspect a potential future purchase in a relaxed, friendly and unhurried setting.
This mammoth event has become infamous for its Top Gear Live event which sees Jemmy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and 'the Stig' messing around with stunts, gags and more in a thoroughly entertaining show.
Away from the spectacle, visitors can head over to the MPH Gallery to drool over the latest mega cars, before investigating the wares of hundreds of exhibitors offering the latest in gadgets and accessories for your car and motoring life.
The world's biggest motorsport show, Lewis Hamilton wannabes can see firsthand what the professional motoring scene has to offer. This show covers everything from karting through to F1.
Visitors can even watch the pros take to the world's biggest indoor racetrack before heading out in a kart themselves or by riding shotgun in a Caterham.
