Few documentaries leave you speechless, yet wanting to tell everyone about the revelation you've had. There's no doubt that this movie deserves the Academy Award it achieved for best Documentary Feature in 2006.

SYNOPSIS:

Al Gore, the former Vice President, reminds us of the beauty of our planet. Armed with a slideshow presentation as his sidekick, Mr Gore proves that his 'theory' on global warming is indeed fact. Although there are those who disagree and believe it's nothing but a theory with no need for urgency, Gore's passion, humour and knowledge will be enough to make you want to make a difference.

Gore tackles the climate crisis with the right attitude. It's a serious issue which needs to be dealt with now, but his take is in fact still hopeful. He believes we can make immediate changes and start seeing results and differences within a few years. He doesn't ask the audience to stop using electricity, or cease driving immediately, instead, Gore informs you of your options and asks you to make smarter choices.

Global warming is a fact. All you need to do is look at visual references - physical evidence of melting of the ice caps and the dramatic reduction of ice on mountain tops- to see it's really happening right now. But the cause is obvious - man. It's our responsibility to recognise this and act to make change.

The changes he suggests are as easy as changing our services to use companies that support green (link to what does it mean to be green) electricity (link to electricity as an alternative fuel), start recycling, choose alternative fuels (link to alt fuels) and driving more fuel efficiently (link to tips on how to be greener) either with the vehicle that you have or a greener breed (link to green cars).
