BuyaCar will continue to operate through the November lockdown, building on the experience of the initial lockdown period where we established a safe and secure contactless delivery process that allowed us to continue delivering cars to customers' homes.

Consequently, BuyaCar will continue to offer ‘contactless handovers’ during the November lockdown to ensure the greatest possible safety for staff and customers.

Unlike purchasing a car from a traditional car dealer – which typically involves extensive travel and lengthy face-to-face interactions - BuyaCar’s online sales process enables drivers to arrange finance, order a car and organise delivery from home, without coming into physical contact with anyone from BuyaCar.

Contactless handovers are available on request for those with pre-existing medical conditions or who are concerned about coming into contact with anyone outside the household, with all cars carefully cleaned before being dropped off. This provides an extra layer of protection for those looking to change their car but wary of leaving their house in light of government advice to reduce social interaction during the coronavirus outbreak.

BuyaCar has already sold more than 20,000 cars online and so has built a sophisticated network to ensure cars can be delivered around the country to provide the greatest possible customer service. On average cars are delivered to customers 159 miles away from the dealership, saving customers time and effort in tracking down the best car for them, wherever it is in the country.

Our phone lines will remain open and we will be on hand to answer all calls as quickly as possible, although there may be some small delays.

  • Monday: 9am - 8pm
  • Tuesday: 9am - 8pm
  • Wednesday: 9am - 8pm
  • Thursday: 9am - 8pm
  • Friday: 9am - 5pm
  • Saturday: 9am - 5pm

With the British public relying more and more on home deliveries due to the continued spread of coronavirus, ordering a car from home and having it delivered to your door means that drivers don’t have to put off changing their car or have to make do without one once they come to the end of their current finance contract.

Additionally, BuyaCar offers the option of a part exchange service where drivers’ current car can also be collected from their home, ensuring that they don’t need to come face to face with salespeople or have to drop the car off somewhere and travel back home using public transport.

We are aware that certain dealers may need to temporarily close during the coronavirus outbreak. Should this affect your order, we will let you know as soon as possible and offer you the choice of holding your vehicle for delivery at a later date, or you can pick another vehicle from our approved dealers across the UK.
