The Audi TT is one of the most desirable coupes you can get. Check out some of the best used deals and find the best version for you

The Audi TT is one of the coolest and most desirable coupes you can buy. It’s a rival to cars like the Porsche 718 Cayman, BMW 2 Series Coupe, Toyota GT86 and Mazda MX-5 RF, featuring head-turning good looks, a superb interior and a high level of equipment, even on the entry-level model.

Launched in 2014, but updated in 2019, the current Audi TT is the most complete version to date. It might be dripping in style, but this doesn’t come at the expense of practicality, with the TT boasting a pair of seats in the back and a decent amount of boot space, along with a hatchback for easy access.

Up front, the driver and front-seat passenger are treated to one of the best interiors in the business, with a quality feel throughout and a stylish dashboard. Standard specification is high, although many people dive into the options catalogue when buying a new TT, which is good news if you’re picking up a used example.

The 2.0-litre diesel engine was discontinued in 2018, so you’re left with a choice of 2.0-litre 'TFSI' petrol engines, some with four-wheel drive, if you're looking at the newest models. A sportier TTS version uses an uprated version of the 2.0-litre petrol engine, while the TT RS model draws its power from a 2.5-litre five-cylinder unit to give it the performance to rival a supercar, along with a very distinctive warbling engine note.

If the Audi TT sounds like the coupe for you, read on for the best deals on the Sport, Sport Edition, S line, Black Edition and Vorsprung versions.

Best Audi TT deals

Audi TT Sport deals

A starting price of around £34,000 when new makes the Sport the most affordable Audi TT you can get, although the level of spec is anything but entry-level. Best of all, you can save plenty of money when buying a used or nearly-new example compared with going for a fancier trim.

The TT Sport boasts the same high level of finish and catwalk style as the more expensive models, so there’s a real sense that you’re getting more for your money here. Be aware that the specifications we've covered here are based on the current Audi TT, so if you're looking at used cars on BuyaCar, their specifications might be a little different, as these change over time.

The Sport model typically features 18-inch alloy wheels, xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, heated seats finished in leather and Alcantara, a retractable rear spoiler, cruise control, hill-hold assist, rear parking sensors, smartphone connectivity, air-conditioning and a leather multi-function steering wheel.

Audi TT Sport Edition deals

Upgrading to the Sport Edition nudges the starting price when new to over £35,000, but adds 19-inch black, diamond-cut alloy wheels and a black styling pack. This is in addition to everything that’s standard on the Sport model. It’s worth remembering that the difference between a Sport and a Sport Edition could be as little as £10 a month on a PCP finance deal.

The boot can swallow 305 litres of luggage with the rear seats in their upright position, which is good for this type of car, but you can liberate an extra 410 litres of space by folding the seats. Maybe you don’t need that practical family hatchback after all, as the TT is surprisingly practical if you only need to carry two people.

Audi TT S line deals

The mid-range S line trim costs from £36,000 when new, but it’s the most popular trim level in the UK. This means you should have no problem finding a TT S line on BuyaCar with this trim, so you should have plenty of choice.

S line trim offers the best blend of equipment, sporty styling and value for money. It’s the most affordable model with LED headlights, which provide better illumination of the road ahead and look more striking when the lights are switched off. At the back, you’ll find a pair of LED lights and dynamic indicators, which scroll when activated for extra style.

This model also features S line exterior styling, 19-inch partly polished alloy wheels, suspension lowered by 10mm for a sportier feel on the road and S line sports seats. The TT S line feels sportier to drive on a country road than lesser models, but this comes at the expense of ride quality, which does feel firmer, with more metal and less rubber between you and the road than is the case with cheaper versions. Fortunately, you can select from different driving modes to change the feel of the car.

Audi TT Black Edition deals

The Black Edition costs around £37,500 when new and is essentially a cosmetic upgrade over the S line model. The 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels fill the wheel arches, while the black styling pack delivers a subtly different look. Aside from that, the Black Edition comes with everything you’ll find on the S line versions.

You might also see some TT 20 Years Edition models for sale on BuyaCar. Launched in 2019, this was, as the name suggests, built to celebrate 20 years of the Audi TT. For an extra £9,000 on top of the price of a TT Sport when new, the trim included bespoke badges, LED headlights, soft Nappa leather, a Bang & Olufsen audio system and a Technology Pack.

Audi TT Vorsprung deals

The Vorsprung is the most lavish version of the standard Audi TT you can buy. It costs from £43,500 when new, but comes with some of the most desirable options and accessories in the catalogue.

The Matrix LED headlights are the next best thing to driving in daylight and will dim individually according to the situation. You don’t even have to concern yourself with dipping the headlights for oncoming traffic, as these automatically shuffle the beam around, so you get the best view of the road ahead without dazzling drivers ahead. You also get LED rear lights and dynamic front and rear indicators that scroll in the direction you're moving when activated.

Vorsprung also adds 3D sat-nav to the excellent 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, park assist with a rear-view camera, a 36-month subscription to the Audi Connect range of entertainment and information services and S line sports seats. As a bonus, you get deluxe air-conditioning, which displays the temperature on the centre of the circular air vents.

Audi TTS deals

The Audi TTS is a standalone model with a price tag of around £47,500 upwards when new. It’s also available with the Black Edition and Vorsprung trim levels, priced at £50,000 and £56,000 respectively when new.

The 2.0-litre 'TFSI' petrol engine is tuned to deliver enhanced performance, while TTS also gets four-wheel-drive, LED headlights, 19-inch alloys, sporty S styling, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel with 3D sat-nav, Audi Connect, rear parking sensors, deluxe air-conditioning, cruise control, Super Sports premium leather seats with four-way lumbar support and a TTS steering wheel.

You also get Audi’s Magnetic Ride system, which continuously adapts the suspension to suit the driving conditions. Put simply, it means that you’ll experience less roll when cornering and greater stability under heavy braking.

Audi TT RS deals

At £57,000 upwards when new, the RS is the most expensive and sportiest version of this desirable coupe. If the 2.5-litre five-cylinder petrol engine isn’t enough for you, you also get four-wheel drive to harness the substantial power on tap when accelerating and cornering, sports suspension, RS styling upgrades and a TT RS steering wheel. This is on top of everything you get on the TTS.

Upgrading to the Audi Sport Edition adds 20-inch alloy wheels, a black styling pack, privacy glass and high beam assist. Finally, you can upgrade to the TT RS in Vorsprung trim. It costs around £67,000 upwards when new, but look out for deals on BuyaCar that cut that price down.
