White Cars
The best white cars cut through the sea of black, blue and red cars on UK roads like a flash of lightning.
Okay, we might be going over the top here, but on the right car in the right specification, white paint can look fantastic. Pick the wrong car in white, however, and it can look like a white van - bland and bulky.
There is a surprising number of different types of white. The differences can be quite subtle in darker lights, but on a bright summer's day, the differences are profound. One type of white paint is called ‘solid’ or ‘flat’. This means the paint is simply white. Then there is metallic paint, which gives a car a more shiny look - with the paint sparkling somewhat when the light hits it.
The last type of paint is pearlescent, which gives a car a pearl-type finish. This can look fantastic if you like your car to have a subtle sheen. Regardless of the type of white paint, you will need to clean a white car regularly to fully appreciate the subtle differences as white cars can look dirty very quickly.
White cars are amongst the most popular in the UK, although this might be slightly helped by the fact that white paint can be one of the more affordable options when ordering a new car. As such, there is a wide variety of makes and models to choose from, including people carriers, sports cars, large SUVs, small SUVs and hatchbacks.
