Renault cars tend to be well-priced from new, with good PCP finance rates and cash prices offered. This means that if you’re after a nearly-new or used Renault model, these prices will have fallen to create some potentially fantastic deals - bringing higher-spec second-hand models well into reach for most budgets.

Renault has a strong reputation for creating safe cars that score well in the Euro NCAP safety assessment programmes, and most models tend to be focused on delivering a comfortable driving experience, too.

A lesser-realised fact about Renault is that it is also a particularly innovative brand. The electric Zoe was one of the first mainstream electric cars to enter the market, and at an affordable price. They are also a key player in the SUV market, offering a range of models - the latest being the Captur, Kadjar and Arkana.

Renault’s smaller cars such as the Clio supermini and Megane hatchback are popular with buyers, too, which means there are plenty of used models to pick from.

You'll find the latest deals on some of the most popular Renaults below. Read on for all the latest nearly-new and used Renault deals available here on BuyaCar.

Renault Clio offers

The best-selling Renault Clio was replaced with a completely redesigned model in 2019. The newer model has more up-to-date equipment and a smarter interior and plenty of these latest-generation Clios can now be found used, but the older model still makes a very good case for itself as a great buy, too.

Go for the older model and there are plenty of higher-specification cars that are well within reach. Dynamique Nav models include an upgraded stereo, sat-nav and a higher quality interior. Unless you mostly drive around town, hunting down a TCe turbocharged petrol model is wise, as these offer a good combination of power and fuel economy.

Renault Zoe offers

The Renault Zoe was one of the first electric cars to enter the mainstream market when it went on sale in 2012, and it's still showing other manufacturers the way forward. It's comfortable, nippy and quiet. It's well-suited for tight city streets, but can cope at motorway speeds too.

The design hasn't changed much over the years, but the technology has. Early cars could only give 90 miles of range between charges, while an upgrade in 2017 brought the Z.E.40 which increased the range to around 150 miles. In 2019, Renault introduced the Z.E.50, with a range of about 245 miles, this is the one to go for if you want to do more than short journeys.

Bear in mind that many Zoes, particularly early ones, were sold without their batteries. Purchase one of these cars and you'll have to rent the battery pack separately, with costs starting at around £50 per month. The flipside of leasing the batteries is that if the battery performance drops below a certain level, the company should replace or refurbish them for you at no extra charge. Batteries are included with models badged with an 'i'.

Renault Megane offers

With so many family hatchbacks to choose from, it can be difficult to decide which to go for. The Renault Megane is one of the more distinctive cars in this sector, with some useful features and unique styling.

The design is rather sophisticated on the inside, too, particularly on higher-specification cars, such as Dynamique S Nav models. These include an 8.7-inch portrait touchscreen on the dashboard. On the road, the Megane is smooth and quiet for a car of this size.

Renault Captur offers

The Renault Captur was one of the first small crossover cars that took the fight to the Nissan Juke, combining the small dimensions of the Clio with a taller driving position and larger boot. This means that there's plenty of choice when it comes to used cars, with a wide range of prices.

A redesign in 2019 brought significant improvements to interior quality and new exterior styling, which makes the car look more rugged. It's not designed to be driven off-road, though. Comfort is the Captur's main focus.

The Captur was designed with practicality in mind, so the steering is light, the engines are efficient, and it absorbs harsh impacts from potholes for a comfortable ride.

Renault Kadjar offers

Underneath the Renault badge and the car's flowing lines, you'll find that the Kadjar shares most of its mechanical parts with the very popular Nissan Qashqai. This means that the Renault shares the Nissan's smooth ride, light steering and efficient engines, but it makes a big improvement on the Qashqai's weakness: space.

The Kadjar has a bigger boot and enough legroom for adults to sit comfortably in the back. As a result, the Kadjar is a savvy second-hand purchase, especially as used prices make it very good value.

Renault Koleos offers

Renault's answer to the Volvo XC60 and BMW X3, the Koleos is a large SUV with a high driving position, rugged styling and masses of space, particularly in the back seats.

It's pitched as a luxury car, so every car comes with ambient lighting, climate control and sat-nav. Most used models will also include a panoramic sunroof, which was fitted as standard when the car went on sale in 2017, but was an option on the more recent 'Iconic' specification.

The Koleos is no longer available as a new car, but now is a great time to bag a deal on a nearly-new model with less than 5,000 miles on the clock. The Koleos lost value quickly when new, making used and nearly-new vehicles far cheaper than rivals of a similar age.

Renault Scenic offers

The Renault Scenic is meant to be a more practical alternative to the Megane, with a design that provides more interior space without totally sacrificing style. In reality, the Scenic isn't the most practical, although the seven-seat version - the Grand Scenic - does offer more versatility if needed.

The Scenic has a flexible interior, with plenty of interior storage, sliding rear seats and an excellent safety score. For many, the Kadjar SUV is the more appealing option, though, blending a practical interior with attractive looks and a higher driving position, so you may want to check this out too.
