Save thousands on a brand new Volkswagen, including the Golf, Polo, Arteon and up!

Huge savings are currently on offer on Volkswagen cars across its model range. There’s money off the Golf, up!, Touran, Arteon, and even the new Polo.

The amount of money off depends upon the car, but expect it to be thousands of pounds rather than just hundreds. Savings of more than £7,000 can be found on Volkswagen’s load-lugging seven-seater, the Touran. The ubiquitous Golf currently has up to £3,500 in savings, and even the latest model of Polo, fresh for last year, generally has around £2,000 off. Even Volkswagen’s latest sporty offering, the Arteon, can be found with reductions of £7,000.

Most of the offers include incentives that are only available if you take out a manufacturer finance agreement, which are available at around 5% APR.

The savings mean that if Germany’s best-selling car brand was previously out of your price range, then it might have just snuck into it. Or even better - if you were looking at Volkswagens before, you can afford a better specified car. Or a bigger and more accomplished car altogether.

Save up to 21% with new Volkswagen Golf deals

The Volkswagen Golf is Britain’s favourite (and best-selling) family car. Its comfort levels ensure it’s a hit with the kids, while mum and dad love the fact that it’s well-made, safe, economical, and spacious. There aren’t many areas in which the Golf doesn’t excel at all.

There’s a dizzying array of Volkswagen Golfs on offer, the idea being that there’s something to suit everyone. Universally, it’s such a good car, it actually makes a lot of financial sense to pick the most basic specification model. Known as the S, it’s not bereft of creature comforts, and it never feels cut-price. After all, it has an 8inch high resolution touchscreen, as well as air conditioning, bluetooth, DAB digital radio, and it even has an automatic emergency braking system.

You can get behind one of these models for £15,090, thanks to a discount of £3,245. Stepping up a specification grade to SE gets you alloy wheels, parking sensors, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These can be bought for around £16,593 - a saving of £3,447.

Volkswagen Arteon 2.0 TDI 240 4MOTION DSG

Save £7,363
•BuyaCar price £32,457

• Four-wheel-drive • Touchcreen DAB radio • Apple CarPlay/Android auto • Sat nav • Climate control

Save up to 23% with new Volkswagen Arteon deals

You might have noticed fewer saloon cars on the road in the last five years or so, and that’s primarily because fewer people are buying them. There’s been a seismic shift to crossovers and SUVs, as well as sportier-saloons that look more like a coupe.

The Volkswagen Arteon is VW’s attempt at a sporty-looking saloon, and it is the sleekest looking VW currently on sale. Its sharp lines, flat surfaces, and swooping roofline mean it’s remarkably different from what we’re used to with VW.

The biggest savings on the Arteon are for the top-of-the-range models. The full-fat diesel, with four-wheel-drive and 240hp starts at £32,457 - a £7,363 saving. The most powerful petrol, with 280hp, costs £31,863, with a saving of £7,282.

Volkswagen Polo 1.0TSI 95 SE

 Save £2,028
•BuyaCar price £14,476

• Apple CarPlay/Android auto • Touchcreen DAB radio • Hill Hold Control • Stop-start • Air conditioning

Save up to 14% with new Volkswagen Polo deals

The latest Volkswagen Polo shows just how sophisticated and well-polished a supermini can be. It’s not as fun to drive as a Ford Fiesta, or as cheap, but it’s top of the class in terms of quality.

It’s almost as comfortable on long journey as the bigger and more expensive Golf, and its interior is head and shoulders above most other cars in its class.

Our pick of the new model is the 1.0TSI 95 SE, as it offers a good balance of performance and luxury against price. The little petrol engine will do around 43.3mpg in real-world fuel economy testing and it’s a lot faster, but not that much less economical, than the 1.6-litre diesel. And SE trim cars get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Hill Hold Control, as well as stop-start.

Volkswagen up! 1.0TSI up! Beats

 Save £1,200
• BuyaCar price £10,731

• Updated interior • 300w Stereo • Apple CarPlay/Android Auto • Stop-start • Air conditioning

Save up to 11% with new Volkswagen up! deals

Since 2012, the VW up! has been showing the world that a) city cars don't need to be cheap and nasty and b) city cars can have punctuation in their names.

It’s been heavily updated inside since its launch, and it feels pretty modern inside, has room for four (on short journeys at least), but it really performs best around town. The up! is light and nimble, and easy to manoeuvre in tight locations among the hustle and bustle of a big city. The most-recently added 1.0-litre engine, known as the TSI, is turbocharged, giving it more power. This is the best engine to get as lesser powered engines feel a bit weedy. It’s also best to avoid the most basic Take up! model as these lack air conditioning.

Which is why we’d recommend the up! With that 1.0-litre engine in up! Beats trim. This has a newer, more high-tech interior, with a 300w stereo. These models can also be had for around £10,731, with a saving of £1,200.

Volkswagen Touran 2.0 TDI R Line DSG

 Save £7,000
• BuyaCar price £25,054

• Seven seats • 18in alloy wheels • Apple CarPlay/Android Auto • Stop-start • Five Isofix points

Save up to 28% with new Volkswagen Touran deals

The Volkswagen Touran is a sensible and classy way to escort a large family around, as its seven-seats make it much more versatile than many other MPVs and SUVs.

All versions are relaxing and easy to drive, especially with an automatic gearbox, and after three years of hard family use it should hold its value well in comparison to cheaper cars of a similar ilk.

The diesel engines pull the car strongly and are economical, but might not be worth it if you don’t cover a lot of ground in the car. If you do though, we’d recommend the 2.0-litre diesel, badged as a 2.0 TDI, with an automatic gearbox. There’s currently around £7,000 off these models.
