The Audi Q3 is a small but upmarket SUV that’s aimed at drivers who want a stylish but practical family car. There are plenty of great deals to be had on the Q3, so read on to find out all about the car and for the best current Audi Q3 deals.

It shares many of its mechanical parts with the Audi A3 hatchback, so it’s available with many of the same petrol and diesel engines - with some offering better fuel economy, others prioritising performance, and some offering a balance between the two. Alternative options to the Q3 include the Volvo XC40, the BMW X1 and the Mercedes GLA.

The Q3 is good to drive, comfortable and refined with a great quality interior and efficient engines, so it makes an appealing all-round choice. Whether you have your heart set on an Audi Q3 as your next car, or you're still working out whether it's right for you, read on to find out all about each version of this upmarket small SUV.

There are two models that these trim levels refer to, the standard Q3 and the more sleek Q3 Sportback (though the Technik trim is available on the standard car only). The Q3 Sportback is a sportier-looking model that’s a little less practical because of its sloping roofline.

There are also high-performance Audi RS Q3 and RS Q3 Sportback models but these are a different beast to the normal Q3 as they’re much more powerful and expensive. If you want the fastest Q3 possible then check these out. Otherwise, you're better off focusing on the much more affordable standard models.

The engine choices for the Audi Q3 include a range of punchy petrol and diesel motors, from a 1.5-litre petrol with 150hp to a 2.0-litre diesel with 230hp. There’s a choice of manual and automatic gearboxes as well, so whatever format you're after there should be a Q3 to suit you.

Audi Q3 Technik deals

The Audi Q3 range starts off with the Technik model, which costs from around £29,000 when brand new. It’s pretty well equipped despite being the base model, though most drivers choose to move up to a slightly higher trim.

It features 17-inch alloy wheels as standard, plus LED headlights, black roof rails, a power-operated tailgate, electric door mirrors and a black grille.

You also get automatic stop-start, which helps to boost fuel economy, an acoustic windscreen that reduces wind noise, a drive mode selector and Isofix child seat fixings. Other interior equipment on the Q3 Technik includes cloth seats, a 40:20:40 split-folding rear seat bench, dual-zone climate control, a multi-function steering wheel, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and a front centre armrest.

In terms of technology, there’s Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, sat-nav, a digital radio, Bluetooth, two USB ports and connected services for three years. On the dash there’s a 10.1-inch media system with access to the sat-nav and other functions. Then there’s a 10.3-inch screen instead of traditional dials behind the wheel that lets you display maps and many other features right in your eye line while driving.

Safety equipment is good too - there’s traffic sign recognition, autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, cruise control, hill descent control, hill hold assist and blind spot assist.

Audi Q3 Sport deals

Move up to the Audi Q3 Sport and the starting price rises to around £31,000 when new. Of course, it comes with more equipment and has a different exterior look. The price premium is typically much smaller with used cars, so if you're after a good spread of standard kit for your money and a bit more style, a Sport version could be a good second-hand choice.

The 18-inch alloy wheels are easy to spot, but there’s also different bumper designs and a different grille, plus silver trim pieces all over the car and aluminium roof rails to give a more upmarket feel. You also get LED rear lights, replacing the halogen units on the lesser model.

Inside you’ll find cloth sports seats and sill protectors made of aluminium, plus other trim using the same metal around the cabin.

Audi Q3 S line deals

Move up to the Audi Q3 S line and there’s more equipment again but the starting price for a new version rises to around £33,000.

The S line model comes with sport suspension, which is firmer than the normal setup so it’s not as comfortable, but in exchange the steering feels more direct and the car offers a sportier feel around corners. The 19-inch alloy wheels on the S line contribute to this as well.

Again there's different exterior trim for a sporty look including S line badges, side skirts, a front spoiler and tinted rear windows.

Leather sports seats are found inside, plus an adjustable rear bench seat with an armrest, brushed aluminium trim pieces in the cabin and illuminated door sill trims. There’s also a black roof lining, a different steering wheel, ambient lighting and stainless steel pedals.

Audi Q3 Black Edition deals

The Audi Q3 Black Edition comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, so the main changes over S line cars are the black trim pieces around the exterior, including on the windows, grille and side skirts. You get black roof rails here too.

There’s also a flat-bottomed steering wheel and black interior inlays. The Black Edition costs around £35,000 upwards as a new car.

Audi Q3 Vorsprung deals

The top-of-the-line Audi Q3 Vorsprung costs from around £43,000 new, so as you might expect it comes with all the equipment you could want. While it's pricey as a brand new purchase, if you want a true feeling of luxury in your Q3 it's a good used purchase, as the premium over lesser models is much smaller with second-hand versions.

It comes with 20-inch alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights that automatically adjust to oncoming traffic - to give you the best view of the road ahead without dazzling oncoming cars - a panoramic sunroof and adaptive suspension that can be set to softer or stiffer modes depending on what kind of road you’re on.

It has Alcantara and leather seats that are heated and electrically adjustable, dark aluminium trim pieces in the cabin, extended ambient lighting features and a puddle light that displays ‘Vorsprung’ on the floor as you get out.

You also get an improved driver display, wireless smartphone charging and a Bang & Olufsen sound system with 15 speakers.

There are lots of assistance features, including adaptive cruise control, cross-traffic assist, automatic bay parking, a 360-degree parking camera, a lane change assistant and keyless entry and go.
