Which used Audi Q3 should you buy?
Whether you have your heart set on an Audi Q3 as your next car, or you’re still working out whether it’s right for you, read on to find out more about each version of this upmarket small SUV.
There are two models that the trim levels below refer to: the standard Audi Q3 and the more sleek Audi Q3 Sportback (though the Technik trim is available on the standard car only). The Audi Q3 Sportback is a sportier-looking model that’s a little less practical because of its sloping roofline.
There are also high-performance Audi RS Q3 and Audi RS Q3 Sportback models, but these are a different beast to the normal Audi Q3 as they’re much more powerful and expensive. If you want the fastest Audi Q3 possible, then check these out. Otherwise, you’re better off focusing on the much more affordable standard models.
The engine choices for the Audi Q3 include a range of punchy petrol and diesel motors, from a 1.5-litre petrol with 152PS to a 2.0-litre diesel with 233PS. There’s a choice of manual and automatic gearboxes as well, so whatever format you’re after there should be an Audi Q3 to suit you.
What used Audi Q3 trim levels are available?
The Audi Q3 comes with a number of trims, including Technik, Sport, S line, Black Edition and Vorsprung. S line is the most widely available, but read on for details of all these specification levels.

Is a used Audi Q3 a good buy?
The Audi Q3 is a small but upmarket SUV that’s aimed at drivers who want a stylish but practical family car.
It shares a lot of its mechanical parts with the Audi A3 hatchback, so it’s available with many of the same petrol and diesel engines – with some offering better fuel economy, others prioritising performance and some offering a balance between the two.
Alternative options to the Audi Q3 include key German rival the BMW X1, and the particularly stylish Volvo XC40.
The Audi Q3 is good to drive, comfortable and refined, with a great quality interior and efficient engines, so it makes a strong all-round choice.
